Urundai Puli Kolambu
Take a vessel with fresh water ,soak Split gram/Yellow lentil/Toor dhal & Split Bengal gram.Allow it to soak well ,so that it can be easily grind.
Once the Split grams & Split bengal grams soaked well ,grind the both together ( it should grind to semi solid so as to make balls ).
Add sliced onions ,chilli ,curry & coriander leaves and sliced ginger to it and mix it well.
Now,catch small balls from the mixture prepared above.once the balls are prepared ,
Take vessel with fresh water,add the gram balls to the water and boil it well .After the gram balls are fully boiled, keep it separately.
Take a vessel with 2 to 3 glass of water soak 20g of tamarind in it .allow it to soak well.
Take a fresh pan pour some oil and heat it up.once the oil is heated ,add sliced onions and mustard seed to it and fry it well for few seconds.( till the onion turns colour).
Now add sliced tomatoes to the mixture and fry it well.
pour some water to the mixture .
Add grinded mixture of coconut nuts and ani seed to it and spread it well.
After ,add the soaked tamarind along with the water to the mixture prepared.
Add 1 or 2 teaspoon of curry masala to make the mixture perfect curry and add 1/2 teaspoon of salt to it .
Allow the curry to boil till it gets reddish brown colour ,now put the prepared gram balls in the curry and allow the same to boil for few seconds
Your tastier Urundai Puli Kolambu is ready.
Needed items : Tomatoes- 1 or 2 , Tamarind -20g,Coconut nuts-1 pieces,Split gram/Yellow lentil/Toor dhal-100g, Split Bengal gram- 150g ,onion-100g +100g ,Mustard seed -1/2 teaspoon,Ani seed -1.2 teaspoon,ginger- 100g,chilli -50g,curry & coriander leaves (As required).
